5G technology arrives in the city of São Paulo this Thursday (4). The capital of São Paulo is the fifth municipality in Brazil to have this mobile internet feature, with Brasília, Belo Horizonte, João Pessoa and Porto Alegre having previously implemented this feature.
The forecast of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) is that Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Salvador and Goiânia are the next cities to receive 5G technology.
5G is the new generation of networked data transport for mobile devices. The connection speed is about 100 times faster than 4G technology, which results in a reduction of 34 minutes for downloading a 25MB video file, compared to the previous transmission range.
In addition to the benefits for users of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, 5G will also enable advances in areas such as the automobile industry, medicine and agribusiness.
